Gauche Giveaway

I'm guest designing for Gauche Alchemy in January and Amy's promised this kit's going to be loads of fun. Her kits always are. Fun and totally irreverent. :D Can't wait for the mailman to arrive. :)

Still enjoying the holidays

How was everyone's Christmas? I ate way too much but enjoyed every bite. :) Then on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day I had two great mail days. The mailman came with 2 big boxes of goodies for me; one from Prima for winning third place in their Build-A-Book contest, and another big box filled with Teresa Collins goodies for my winning layout in another competition. Just in time for Christmas. I'm a happy scrapper. :)

I completed two layouts, two altered projects and one card in the last week and I'm pretty pleased with myself. They're all for Purple Onion Designs so I can't reveal them yet but here's a sneak peek of one of them:

A little Christmas gift for a great teacher and friend. I altered a wooden frame and used Purple Onion's Happy Holidays noteblock stamp for a cheery Christmas decoration.

A Christmas layout for Purple Onion using their Happy Holidays noteblock stamp. I really love the noteblock stamps. They're easy and versatile enough to use on layouts, cards and gift tags. And best of all, there are also Hello, Love and Thank You Noteblocks. I'm having fun playing with them. :)

Scenic Route Winner!

I'm baaackk! Just got home from a wonderful holiday. We got to do lots of activities we never tried before and the kids really enjoyed themselves. Took lots of photos so I'll be happily scrapping for some time. :)



While I was away I got news that my Christmas Star layout was a winner in Scenic Route's Holiday Product Challenge. :) Here it is on the contest cover page announcing the winners:

I really like this layout so winning the Scenic Route Challenge was a real bonus and delight for me. :)

Posin'

Trying out something new on this layout. I tore the patterned paper and scrunched it up to form ruffles to frame the photo. Another strip of paper ruffle skirts the layout.

And yes, there's hidden journalling on this layout. :)

I love black, red and cream combis and this Jenni Bowlin line works so well with the photograph of my dd at her first tap dance competition years ago. The photo always brings a smile to my face. :)
