Ready, Set... Go!

One more for the road! October Afternoon's Road Map papers, that is, from My Scrapbook Nook's great August kit. :)

I thought this photo of us having fun on the luge in New Zealand went well with the bright primary colours of the Road Map papers, and that traffic light die cut was just perfect too, for the layout and the title. I played with three colours and fonts for the title of Ready, Set... Go! I chose red, green and yellow to match the colours of the traffic lights.

The red car die cut is from October Afternoon. I popped it up with 3D foam dots over the black and grey ribbon. Doesn't the car look like it's taking a drive on the road (ala the black ribbon with grey centre divider?) Leah has a great knack for choosing embellishments that are perfect for the kits.

I popped up the green polka dot arrow and traffic light die cut for dimension, and also inked and distressed all the edges of the patterned paper to give it that rugged look.
