Christmas Card - Peace. Love. Joy

My Scrapbook Nook's having its annual Christmas Card countdown with daily inspirations from its design team members. This is one of my contributions, a Christmas card featuring a couple of "hanging ornaments", made using Making Memories' Mistletoe collection from the Nook's December kit.

Here are the steps to creating the card:

1. Cut a piece of red cardstock 12x6 inches. Fold it into half to form the base for your 6x6 card.

2. Cut a 5x5 inch piece from the green patterned paper. Punch a decorative border around it. Here I used a Martha Stewart loopy punch.

3. Cut out 2 circles and a bird from the MM patterned papers. Cut out two scalloped circles from white cardstock. Layer these on top of each other using 3D foam dots to make your "Christmas ornaments". Apply stickles to the edges if desired.

4. Stick down two red satin ribbons. Attach little bows to the satin ribbons. "Hang" the ornaments from the ends.

Here's a close-up so you can see the dimension better:

So how's your Christmas card-making coming along? ;)
