More cards...

I made a couple more cards using My Scrapbook Nook's April kit for the ongoing April card inspiration at the Nook.

Here's one I created using residual pieces of scrap from my earlier layouts and projects. The rectangle frame was a leftover from my wall decor project "Imagination" and that cut-out flower was one I'd cut out but didn't use for one of my layouts.


I punched out a couple of butterflies, tied on a bow, glued on a button, doodled a running stitch around the border and that was it. A quick card.

This time I used the packaging from the Prima flower that came with the kit. It was just too pretty to discard, especially that lovely die cut edge. I layered on a Maya Road calendar sheer, added a matching satin bow, found a matching bluish teal lace and attached that to the Prima flower using a Pink Paislee brad. Another quick and easy card. To complete the card I'll probably be adding a sentiment to the Maya Road sheer, once I decide who I'll be giving the card to and the occasion.

Ribbon Tie Card

My Scrapbook Nook's running a card inspiration month in April and we've seen lots of stunning cards and card tutorials in the last few weeks. This is my contribution using scraps from My Scrapbook Nook's April kit. It's an envelope-styled card with ribbon tie.

Timeless Treasures

Here's an altered project I made using Graphic 45 papers and Purple Onion Designs stamps. I altered a plain box into this vintage-looking keepsake box for little mementoes and treasured keepsakes.

I used Graphic 45 papers from their Fashionista and Communique lines and complemented that with lots of lace and ribbon, Prima flowers, Maya Road pin & velvet ribbon and Robin's Nest dewdrops.

And of course a couple of Purple Onion Design stamps which are just perfect for vintage-y layouts or altered items. I love that pocket watch stamp. Purple Onion stamps have got great details and always amaze me with how crisp their images are.

Mini Calendar - April

The April page from the mini calendar/album I made for Purple Onion Designs using their Perpetual Calendar stamp. This is one of my favourite pages from the album. Love the photo and the garden feel of the page, and my favourite embellishments of flowers, lace and butterflies. :)

Graphic 45 Notes Journal

I haven't posted any projects lately because some of them haven't been revealed on the respective DT blogs yet. Will post those later in the month. I've also been busy having fun on the personal front so haven't been scrapping in the last few days. Will try to take photos of some completed projects and post them up some time.

But I do have something to show today. It's an altered journal I made for Graphic 45 using a mix of their Fashionista and Communique collections. It's a birthday present for a friend who must have a notebook on her at all times. So I made this one with minimal dimension so the elements wouldn't get dented in her bag.

Happy Birthday!

A sweet birthday card for a sweet young lady. :)




The card turned out to be quite heavy because I used 9 layers of cardstock and patterned paper on it. I know, it's not obvious, but it makes me happy. :) I used Purple Onion's Birthday Noteblock stamp and K & Co's Berry Sweet pp and embellishments on the card. I like the tinsel-twined trims and pom-pom trims. Such contrasting textures from trims on one card. Me likey! :)

Spotted on Pink Paislee

Pink Paislee did a feature on this month's kits from My Scrapbook Nook which are packed with Pink Paislee goodies. Some of the DT's layouts and projects were also picked to be featured and mine was among them. :)

Imagination

This is another DT project using My Scrapbook Nook's April kit. It's a mini wall decor highlighting a meaningful saying. Love the colours of Pink Paislee's Captivating papers which combine so well with the American Craft ruffle ribbon and Maya Road pearl pins which also came with the kit.

Riders' Paradise

This photo was taken in Glenorchy on a riding trail that took us through the Dart and Rees Rivers, which are located near a place called Paradise. Yes, the village is called Paradise. :)

I used Pink Paislee's Captivating papers on this layout, which are part of My Scrapbook Nook's great April kit.

Love the little Maya Road pin and the American Crafts argyle ribbon.

How Much Wood...

I created this fun layout using My Scrapbook Nook's fun April kit. I took one look at the Pink Paislee Captivating papers, especially that wood grain one, and knew which photo I wanted to scrap.

The title of the layout is from this tongue twister :D :


And I just had to add that little maya road chipboard bird in the corner of the layout. The branch was cut out from the Graceful pp.
