Heart Canvas Mini Album

I enjoyed creating this canvas mini album for PaperMarket.

The canvas mini's from Prima and I had fun altering it with acrylic paints and mediums. I covered all the pages with acrylic paint in yellow and green, a colour combination I don't often work with but something compelled me to try it out this time. 

 

The cover page - bordered with Prima's new ecru lace and a strand of pearls. A floral vine trails down the left of the album in one of my favourite lemony shades. A chipboard from Prima's Botanical collection houses the title and is further adorned by some Prima pearl swirls.

Page 2 - a photo of our little puppy sits on the corner of an all-yellow page, to which I added lots of texture using mediums over a Prima bird stencil.

Page 3 - Prima Botanical papers, flowers, leaves, lace and a pearl swirl that echoes the shape of the heart.

Page 4 - Stamping on canvas using Prima's large foam stamps, and more yellow and white flowers from my stash.

Page 5 - A sweet photo which calls for just a simple floral and pearl cluster in the corner. I painted the canvas half yellow, half green and stamped the right side with some subtle script images.

Zva Creative April DT Blog Hop

Zva Creative and the Design Team welcome you to join us this month for a blog hop that we feel is always extra special!

As you know, Zva offers so many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals.  We want to make sure that they shine bright for you, so each designer was asked to share a creation using a specific color or color combination on their blog hop project.

Here's my Zva creation. This month I'm showcasing Zva's purple crystals and flowers.

I was looking through my stash for some purple patterned paper to use for my layout and found some Basic Grey Wisteria in purple and pale green. What a lovely colour combination.

Stickles Sign

This is another store signage I created for PaperMarket's new store at Clementi Mall. It's a 12x12 layout to showcase how you can use Stickles.

I used Rangers distressed stickles and regular stickles on Prima Madeline and Melody patterned papers.

Lots of dimension by way of water distressing technique and layering of fussy cut details.

Gold stickles carefully applied on the filigree pattern on the Prima patterned paper, blue stickles outline the butterflies, and distress stickles in walnut stain and peeled paint on the water distressed edges and the chipboard.

Icicle stickles accent the detailed cut outs from the Prima Madeline flowers and leaves.

Stickles, inks, distressing and layering - my favourite kind of layouts. :)

Fly High

Here's a layout that's full of butterflies. I created the background using my favourite butterfly stencils from My Tattered Angels, Patina glimmer mist and Tide Pool glimmer glam.

I hand-dyed some seam binding in shades of Tattered Angels Bahama Blue and Trunk Bay glimmer mists, then crinkled them.

A beautiful crystal butterfly swirl sits atop an olive flower, both new from Zva Creative. And btw, the new Zva crystals are available at PaperMarket and Laines now. So pretty!

I cut out the butterfly motifs from GCD Studio's Spring In Bloom papers, folded them up for dimension and had them flitting around on the layout.

Fluffy Love

Here's a layout that's a little different from my usual colour scheme. I created this for my guest DT spot on GCD Studios, using papers from GCD Studio's Fun House Collection and crystals and flowers from Zva Creative. In keeping with the bright colours, I went with a fun layout and the title strung from banners across the page.

The title on banners strung on twine. See the torn edge? I had someone ask me if my puppy had inadvertently got to my layout. ;)

A heart-shaped border for the circle mat, punched out from border punches, inked and distressed. 

Oh, Zva Creative crystals are now available at Laines Papeterie and PaperMarket All the beautiful butterfly ones in many pretty colours. :)

Guest Designing for GCD Studios

I'm guest designing at GCD Studios!

A couple of weeks ago, I received a big box of some of the new CHA releases from GCD. I'd just broken my bone and scrapping was slow, if at all, so I only managed to put together a few layouts.

Here's my first one: Puppy Love, a layout I created using the Antiquities collection.

I love the vintage look of this collection and the colour palette of rich reds with weathered browns. I layered the layout using a combination of fabrics, such as burlap and muslin to create lots of texture and dimension. 

 

I created a floral cluster using Prima flowers, leaves, pearls and lace, as well as some hand-crinkled seam binding.

The title work, using PaperMarket's Alphabite chipboard alphas with more seam binding.

PaperMarket Store Decor

Things have been slow for me on the scrapping front as I've fractured my bone and am in a bit of pain. So I'm taking it easy. In the meantime I thought I'd share with you something I created a few weeks ago for PaperMarket for their brand new store in Clementi Mall.

I used some neat wooden frames, Basic Grey's Curio papers, Webster's Pages WaterFall papers and foam and chipboard alphabet from PaperMarket's AlphaBite collection.
