Zva Creative April DT Blog Hop

Zva Creative and our talented Design Team welcome you to join us for our April Blog Hop! We are happy to have you join us and hope you enjoy all that we have to share with you along the way!

The Blog Hop begins at Zva Creative's NEW blog! Be sure head on over to check it out! Leave a comment there for a chance to win an extra prize package just for visiting the blog and telling us that you stopped by! You will also find a complete list of all the participating blogs there (in case there is a glitch along the way).

As you know, Zva offers many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals.  We want to make sure that they shine bright for you, so each designer was asked to share a creation using a specific color or color combination on their blog hop project.  If you like what you see you can find a list of stores and online retailers that sell Zva HERE.

Here's my Zva Creative layout:

My layout uses Basic Grey's new What's Up collection and highlights a beautiful blue crystal flourish from Zva Creative. I like that the flourish mimics what wind might look like if it was visible.

I love the colour scheme of these papers and those hot air balloons are just too cute.

I added liquid pearls and stickles to the hot air balloons to add some sparkle, and popped them up with foam dots for a more dimensional look.

A shot from another angle to show the dimension:

If you would like to play along with our design team, just follow along the blog path.  I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the way!

Hidden on FIVE of the designer's blogs is a Zva Creative prize package! Winners will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it's important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

The Blog Hop starts today, April 30th and runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, May 1st.

The 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, May 2nd on each of the five winning blogs. The full list will be found on Zva's blog as well. We will do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday... plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there.

All you need to do is leave a comment on this Blog Hop post... you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify. However, the more times you comment along the blog hop path, the more chances you will have to win.

We also thought it would be more fun to add even more chances to win our blog hop prize!  To increase your chances of winning:

* Comment to let us know that you posted on your Facebook page about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)

* Comment to let us know that you "tweeted" about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)

* Comment to let us know that you asked your local store to carry Zva creative products.  If they already do, that's fantastic, maybe you can suggest other products that they don't carry.

*Hop over to Zva's blog and leave a comment there to tell us that you made it there!

The blog hop begins here at Zva Creative's blog. Your next stop is Nicole Martel. Enjoy!

Thank you for joining us!

P.S. Mark your calendar to join us again on May 28th for our next Zva blog hop!

PaperMarket May Class - Olde Curiosity Shoppe

Hello! I had a great time last week designing this really fun class for PaperMarket this May. It's a curiosity shop using Graphic 45's latest quirky Olde Curiosity Shoppe collection. I love this collection with its flying pigs, butterflies and all manner of curiosities. The shop opens up to reveal a splendid surprise and it even has an attic for your collection of curiosities and mini album.

The class will show you how to build a chipboard house from scratch plus learn how to create 3D pop-up effects. You'll also be creating a matching mini album for your favorite photos or if you wish, use it as a journal instead.

Here are some sneaks:

The class will be conducted at PaperMarket's Plaza Singapura branch which now has a brand new classroom. :) The class schedule's here: May Class Schedule

And if you're coming, here's the list of things you'll need to bring: Precision scissors, sharp knife and metal ruler for cutting chipboard, strong liquid glue, tape glue, paint brush, brown distress inks and glossy accents.

Hope to see you there!

Memories

Melissa Frances is coming to Singapore to teach some workshops this Saturday and we're all really looking forward to it. Here's a layout I created for the event using Melissa Frances' Attic Treasures collection.

This is a photo of me from wayyyyy back when. I scrapped the layout using MF patterned papers which depicted storybook moments plus doilies, lace trims, punched borders, muslin, wire mesh and of course some lovely Zva Creative pearls in a leaf motif (PES-03CB-103).

Some close-ups:

Thanks for dropping by. :)

Pubbed!

I have a mini album published in the latest issue of Create: Mini Albums. :)

It's the Vintage Treasures mini album I created for a class for PaperMarket and Laines Papeterie.

Love

I really like this new layout I created using Melissa Frances' Attic Treasures papers and to-die-for resin embellishments.

I went for a monochromatic cream-beige look and layered lots of white-on-white textures through the use of doilies, lace trims, muslin, hand-crinkled seam binding and patterned papers.

Some close-ups:

The beautiful resin frame which I used to frame a Tim Holtz LOVE key. Look at all the delicious lace I used to line the frame.

Some lovely pearl flourishes from Zva Creative and a resin butterfly to add to the shabby-chic romantic look.

A white flower from Zva Creative complemented by some pearl strings, cream hand-crinkled seam binding and muslin.

This layout goes into my favourites folder. :)

Melissa Frances is coming to Singapore in a fortnight's time. Are you attending her classes? I am. Can't wait. :)
