Love Easel Card

Here's an easel card I created on a garden theme, using Graphic 45's oh-so-pretty Secret Garden collection.

I used a lacey border punch on the pastel card, then embellished it with layered doilies, flowers and hand-crushed seam binding.

A chipboard tag from Place In Time hangs amidst the flower cluster.

This is how the card looks, standing in easel style.

A message in the garden.

New arrivals from Graphic 45

Look what the mail man brought today. A big box of goodies from Graphic 45 - all of their new Secret Garden and French Country collection papers, stickers, stamps, mini pads, new die-cuts AND... lots of Graphic 45 staples which are not in the photo. Oh, and the doggie didn't come in the mail. :) He just wanted his share of the goodies too. :)

Rome - Palatine Hill

Here's a layout I created for Graphic 45.

It's of a photo we took during our wonderful holiday to Rome last December. I created a 3-dimensional shadow box layout, embellished with lots of lace, muslin, hand-dyed seam binding, crystals and flowers to complement the Secret Garden collection.

I painted the Graphic 45 Staples Ornate Metal Key Hole and Keys with dabs of white to blend in with the overall look of the layout.

Graphic 45 Staples - Ornate Metal Key Holes and Ornate Metal Keys

Love Card & Tutorial

Thanks for all your birthday wishes everyone!

Here's a Love Card I created for Graphic 45.

The card is quick to recreate and it uses just a single sheet of Graphic 45's Place In Time February Cut-Aparts, together with some Graphic 45 Staples, lace, flowers and leaves.

1. Trim your beige cardstock paper to a bracket shape measuring 6"x5".

 2. Attach Graphic 45's Place In Time February Cut-Aparts patterned paper to the front of the cardstock.

3. Stick the scallop-edged border strip from the Place In Time stickers to the card as shown.

4. Attach the May Arts pearl trim lace to the card, overlapping the border sticker.

5. Cut out two tags from the Place In Time February Cut-Aparts. Tie seam bindings to the tags and attach the Graphic 45 Staples Stamped Metal Brads.

6. Attach the tags to the right of the card, as shown.

7. Arrange a cluster of seam binding, flowers and leaves to the tags.

8. Adhere a flower to a small Graphic 45 Metal Butterfly.

9. Attach butterfly to the bottom left of the card and you're done!

Mixed Media Canvas - Click!

Here's a mixed media canvas I created for Graphic 45.

The canvas plays on light and shadows and the use of textures and layers. I used the negative part of the Graphic 45 die cut chipboard as a base on which I built up the dimension on the canvas, layering it with lace, twill, flowers, leaves, resin, glass, chipboard and alphas.

I used Graphic 45 Cling Stamps to add shadows around the canvas.

At the 'light' corner of the canvas, I created a cluster out of Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue die cut chipboards and Graphic 45 Staples Metal Ornate Key and Metal Ornate Key Hole.
