May Arts Valentines Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Arts Valentines Blog Hop!

The hop run all this week, from Monday Feb 4th to Friday Feb 8th. To stand a chance to win 4 spools of May Arts Ribbons of your choice, simply comment on this blog and any of the others along the hop. For a list of all the Ribbonistas, scroll down to the bottom of this post.

Here's my Valentines Day creation:

Follow these steps below on how to create this Valentine's Day home decor yourself.

1. What you'll need:

May Arts Ribbons -
Q9-99 1.5" Embroidery
372-1-14 1" Crochet/Velvet Centre
390-58-09 Lace
SC59 1/4" Sheer

A chipboard heart
Patterned paper
Strips of border paper
Roses, leaves
Chipboard images
String of pearls

2. To begin, cover the front and back of your chipboard heart with your choice of patterned paper.

3.  Attach the large embroidered May Arts Ribbon (Q9-99 1.5" Embroidery) to the centre of the heart. Edge the ribbon with the border strips.

4. Attach the red velvet/trim May Arts Ribbon (372-1-14 1" Crochet/Velvet Centre) to the left and right of the heart.

5. Secure a loop to the top of the heart, using the white May Arts Lace (390-58-09).

6. Using the same white May Arts Lace (390-58-09), trim the edges of the heart.

 7. Embellish your heart with flowers, leaves, chipboards, a string of pearls and a May Arts Sheer Ribbon (SC59 1/4" Sheer).

8. And  you're done!

For more inspiration, be sure to check out the rest of the DTs on the blog hop and remember to leave comments on this blog and the others to stand a chance to win some beautiful May Arts Ribbons. :)

This would be a good centerpiece for a wedding. Wish I had seen this last June when the grand-daughter got married. Beautiful.
