I recently went on a holiday to Japan and one of the cities I visited was Hakone, which is famous for its hot springs, natural scenery and art museums. We took the Odakyu Railway from Tokyo to Hakone, and then boarded the Hakone Tozan Rail, the oldest rail network in Japan, which took us to our destination. The train, which is the subject of my layout, brought us on a slow ride through scenic wooded areas, valleys and over rail bridges.

What better Graphic 45 collection to scrap a layout on Japan than Bird Song, with all its Japanese-influenced images. Here I’ve layered lots of patterned paper, doilies and fussy-cut images, creating texture with 3D pop dots and distressed edges.
