Did this layout for Challenge 65 at Lotus Paperie.

Used an all-time favourite October Afternoon paper and tried something different with using the MM grommet as a flower centre and tying it to the layout with lace. Also stickled the centre of the grommet with stickles to add interest.

Trying the slider

Decided to try something new with this layout. I used 5 photos on this layout; 4 smaller ones are in the slider. So when the slider's closed, you see only 2 photos. But when the slider's open, you see two new photos. Quite like the effect because it adds to the movement and mood of the carnival ride.

Layout of the Day

Wow! A layout I submitted to Create My Keepsake a couple of weeks ago was selected as layout of the day. What a thrill! :) Doing the happy dance here!

Absolutely delighted!

I'm so thrilled! My 'How does your garden grow' layout is featured on the Maya Road Design Team blog! How cool is that? Check it out here on the Maya Road DT blog. :)This was the layout I tried all kinds of alteration techniques on chipboards. I stuck on flowers, sequins, felt, buttons and crystals on some, painted, utee'd, embossed and stickled others. It was a fun project to do!

Happy Days

Attended a crop at MWL yesterday and the layout challenge called for a retro layout. As I was unprepared for the challenge, having not brought any retro pattern paper, embellishments nor photos, I came up with this layout using the love Elsie pp, Bam Pop frame & alphas in the MWL goody bag and some flowers I'd brought along. Can't say the layout's very retro but I tried to use the psychedelic colours evident in the day with lots of flowers. :)

Love Notes

I altered this mail holder for a challenge at Artz de Scrap . It's a little pocket for everyone in the family to leave little notes for one another.

How does your garden grow?

Did this layout for a challenge at MWL that called for altering chipboards in different ways. Decided on a whimsical look using a garden theme. I was really happy to use lots of chipboards on this. I have way too many chipboards in my stash. I painted, stamped, utee'd, stickled, heat-embossed, crackle painted and glitter-embossed some of the chipboards; stuck flowers, felt, sequins, buttons and gems on others; and wound ribbons around the stem of the large flower.... I've never used this many chipboards on a single layout before! But it was fun!

PS: This layout was featured on the Maya Road Design Team blog. :)

Door hangers

Made this door hanger using Maya Road's crown coaster album, scallop frames and scrolls. One side says "The Princess in IN" and the other "OUT having fun!". Decided to go really girly with it using plenty of pearls, ribbons, flowers, embossing glitter and bling. :)

Family Time

Did this layout for a challenge on OLW. This week's word is Time. I love Scenic Route paper and I really like the look of the paper with this photo. I like how the utee made the stamped images on orange stand out too. :)

Pretty in Pink

I did this layout for a challenge at Made With Love. The challenge called for the use of only one predominant colour on a layout with splashes of white OR black. I decided on pink. The layout won the challenge (woo-hoo!) and it remains one of my favourite layouts. :)

Tinkering Ink has some really nice paper and this one with its huge roses called out to me. I'd just taken some photos with flowers in the background, it being CNY, so decided to go the whole hog with the large flowers in the foreground, the large floral cutout in the background and flowers in the photo. Also decided to try something girly with the lace and pearls. I like the title: "Bloom where you are planted." Love the Maya Road bird and scallop frame!

Remember my Monalisa layout, the one I did for a paint and doodle challenge at Made With Love? I just found out today that I won that challenge! That was SO unexpected. I had a good laugh doing that layout because it just has that silly element about it, from the monalisa doodling to the warped journalling to the irreverant title. :)
